Urban superhero - the cape dress

You can’t even imagine how excited I was when I found this cape dress. We’re talking slow motion with romantic soundtrack in the background moment.

I almost left the store dressed in it, but then I remembered I am an adult and behaved accordingly (except a huge grin on my face and some very mature dance moves/sounds).

The next day I felt like a superhero wearing it with a pair of sky high ankle boots and a metallic spiked belt.

And while I didn’t fight crime in the city I did have a very productive day at work – there’s something about a good outfit that makes me finish that long to do list, leave early and do something fun!

RO

 I'm wearing:
coat  / palton - vintage
cape dress, ankle boots  / rochie capa, botine - miniPrix
western boots / cizme - miniPrix
matallic spiked belt / curea metalica tinte - Asos (1,2,3)
bag / geanta - Debenhams

Makeup - hot pink eyeliner

I’m starting a new column on this blog (Makeup&Beauty) and it’s all because of you. I’m always happy to get your emails and comments with feedback, questions, ideas and suggestions so keep on sending them this way.

I always wanted to experiment a little more with my makeup and daily beauty routine so this is an excellent excuse to just do it. Don’t expect this to be the work of an expert, it going to be more of a reality show of someone who only knows the basics and wants to get creative in spite of that.

Take this first look I wanted to show you - it’s a play on a classic eyeliner makeup and you can recreate it in 5 minutes tops. The star of the show is the hot pink eyeliner applied under the eye in a thick line and accentuated with black kohl. The lid is even simpler: just one color (a very subtle gold) with a lighter shade in the corner of the eye. A bit of blush, black mascara, a nude lipstick and you’re ready to go!

I listed the products I used below, but you can basically use anything you have around in your makeup bag. I hope you like it!
Feel free to write us anytime!

The crazy eyes are my trademark so you'll see plenty of them in the  new column!

In rest ne puteti scrie orice pe adresa fashionmagicsara@yahoo.com !

The products I used /  Produsele folosite:
Garnier B.B Cream Miracle Skin Perfecter (Light)
Jillian Dempsey Avon blush
Wet n' Wild  Mega Glo illuminating powder (catwalk pink)
W7 hot pink eyeliner
Loreal Lash Architect mascara
Black kohl pen (Avon)
Maybelline Silk glam Eye Studio quad eye shadow (give me gold) - first color used
Gold eye shadow powder - random brand
Elite professional brushes
I forgot to add the lipstick I used in the picture (next time) - but it was a Dior Addict lipstick (Nude)

I hope you like it! Any thoughts?

Event – BSB spring summer 2013 collection launch

A couple of days ago, last Wednesday to be more precise, I attended the press day brunch for the launch of BSB’s newest collection at their store in the heart of Bucharest.

The comfortable silhouettes, the chic and fun dresses, all the little details on tops, a more sophisticated approach to light outwear pieces (beautiful lace cardigans and fringed leather jackets) make these BSB clothes appealing for more age groups which is a great thing for any retailer.

Their  spring-summer  collection has a lot of elements that I really liked: the balanced color scheme featuring shades of green, ivory tangerine and blue, the mix of fabrics with crochet lace, leather and soft jersey at the core, the feminine mix of urban influences and more rustic, natural elements. I feel they successfully targeted a larger audience by offering more variety.

I absolutely loved these dresses made using a lovely combination of mint veil for the skirt part and knitted lace for the top.

As for my outfit I wore a short dress with an ombre style animal print that you have seen before (granted it looked different then, but I’m sure you remember). I also had a pair of glittery pumps on that I will admit I changed in just before the event (I had to make an escape from work where shiny shoes are frowned upon to make it to this event). Please excuse my hair; it’s having a bad month all together! :)

 I’m wearing:
dress / rochie - Romwe
  bag/geanta - Marks&Spencer
leather jacket, glitter shoes/ geaca piele, pantofi - H&M
bag /geanta - Zara
double rings/ inele duble  - Miss Selfridge and Meli Melo
necklace/ colier - random brand

Illustration spotlight – Fab Ciraolo

We live in a world were everything is possible and we are permanently surrounded by things that leave us speechless. Or at least that’s the case with me. I see so many talented people in a variety of areas - dancing, singing, acting, painting - talent is something I appreciate with all my heart.

And as wonderful as it is seeing all of the magic that they can create, it’s even harder to have your own thing, that special talent that separates you from the crowd, making people recognize your work. It’s the ability to choose from all the subjects out there and find the one that defines you as an artist.
And today we’re talking about such an artist - one that found his niche and made it art.

Fab Ciraolo is a Chilean-born illustrator that takes pop icons, superheroes, cartoon characters and even historical ones and illustrates them with a modern twist. He also ads a fashionable angle as he changes their outfits but keeps, at the same time, a vintage vibe. He uses subdued colors and psychedelic backgrounds to create the impression of space.

His techniques involve“painting, a lot of drawing, acrylics, color pencils, mostly anything I have near that might work to get a final result that makes me happy. I can remember using coffee in some paintings.”

Judy Garland and Marilyn Monroe as modern daystereotypes
This is brilliant: Coco Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld in thePietàpose!
Old school heroes

And even though this has been done before, in the sense that he is not the only one to bring into his work famous people from the past, he does it in an original way. Fab Ciraolo remains fluent in his work by keeping his signature “space” background and changes only his subjects. He creates this amazing mash ups, putting together elements from pop culture, science fiction and just a hint of wired.

While his characters still have their signature styles he transforms them into present day stars. They are somehow reborn into the hipsters and rock stars of our days.  There’s a lot of irony there, mixed in with humor and even a bit of social commentary - Fab Ciraolo’s work is provocative! Pop culture is his playground and I love it all!

Edward Scissorhands and  Charlie Chaplin
Alfred Hitchcock
Salvador Dalí  and Frida Kahlo
What do you think? I would very much like to have  any of these hanging in my house!

Outfit – roses and fur

This dress is the latest addition to my dirndl style frock collection and I might have just worn it one too many times over the past month. It’s what I do: when I like something I tend to wear that thing for weeks much to my sister’s chagrin.

But even she has too admit the dress it’s super cute with its bright red and green rose print and flattering silhouette – it just makes me feel good and comfortable.

The brown leather jacket with the fur collar is something I actually bought in high school and one of the few things I stand by even today. Can’t help but think about the fact I was probably 17 years old when I got it – pretty fancy of me, right? I was very much into Russian literature back then so that might had something to do with it!

And then we have the burgundy coat which is of more recent decent – you might remember the first time I made the introductions!

I’m having an interesting time lately to say the least, new plans and projects are being put into motion, not going to say anything yet but hopefully I can tell you more soon.

  I’m wearing:
dress, bag / rochie, geanta - vintage
burgundy coat / palton visiniu - New Look
fur jacket / jacheta guler blana - random brand

Game of Thrones - season 3 teasers

Winter is coming on March 31st.

Are you guys as excited as I am about the new Games of Thrones season 3 premiere? We only have a few more days to wait: March 31stis the magic date.

Even thought I have read the books I’m still crazy about the series. The truth is that HBO did an amazing job with it.

The new season will cover half of A Storm of Swords, the third novel in Martin's A Song of Ice and Firesaga and the second half of the book will be covered in season four. I really hope the show will be picked up for next year as that didn’t happen just yet, but I’m sure it will.

Ain't that the truth? Ygritte, you're a true poetess:))))
 The scenery  is always breathtaking!
So many things happened in Game of Thrones season 1 and 2: betrayal after betrayal, characters hating each other, blood, dragons, love, war, intrigue  and the always shocking end of the season so it’s not crazy to assume that we will get some much expected payoff time now.

This third season was shot in five different countries, with many production teams working simultaneously. Besides Dubrovnik, Croatia other filming locations included Morocco, Iceland - on the Vatnajökull glacier and Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Another highlight is the Game of Thrones season 3 casting and the fact that new characters will appear: Clive Russell as Bryndon "The Blackfish" Tully, Ciarán Hinds (Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy) as Mance Rayder, the fearsome King Beyond the Wall, Thomas Brodie-Sangster as Jojen Reed, the burning sword-wielding Baeric Dondarrion (Richard Dormer), slave-turned-handmaiden Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel) and Diane Rigg as Lady Olenna Tyrell, "The Queen of Thorns."

HBO is taunting us for days now with a bunch of amazing new Game of Thrones season 3 trailers and after seeing them I have to say: “HBO, don’t worry, we are still interested in what you are offering!”.

Also the released photos for the new season got me really excited! Did you see Daenerys with her army? Awesome, right?

And Joffrey, put down the freaking crossbow, you are an idiot and you will only hurt yourself with it (fingers crossed)!!! Why don’t you die already?

Sansa is looking more beautiful every day, I didn't see it at first but Sophie Turner is really stunning in this coming season!

And, George R. R. Martin, please don’t even think about doing what you said you are planning to do in the  Game of Thrones at the San Diego’s Comic-Con: “I may have to start killing some of these characters to make room for new ones.” If you even touch Jon, Aria, Tyrion or Dany I will never ever forgive you!

That being said I’m not that worried as the show is following the books pretty accurately so far and all my “no, you didn’t” moments have been already rehearsed.

Besides, I’m sure that we can now rest assured that Martin will never kill my favorite characters, I just publicly warned him! He would never diss me like that!

Let the games begin!
Are you a fan? Are you watching the Game of Thrones TV show? Have you read the "A song of Ice and Fire" saga yet? I personally think it's one of the best fantasy series ever written!

It's Sunday night but I'm somehow exhausted so I'm going to brief - here are a few photos from Tuesday night when I attended Bucharest Style 3 years anniversary.

It was a very fun night although I didn't stay for the after-party  cause, you know, I had to go to work the next day. Also clubs are not really my scene and I need my beauty sleep (old lady in the house:)))).

I wore a sequin dress layered under a leather jacket topped with a black ruffled cardigan and biker boots. I also had on a flower tiara with a birdcage veil that me and my sister made just two hours before the event. It's good to wear a crown from time to time - it reminds people you're actually royalty !:))))))

Not afraid of a little bit of PDA- especially if Anna is involved!

Don’t you go breaking my heart, Ryan Gosling!

I'm quietly sobbing right now because I can’t imagine why these words came out of his mouth, but they did! A couple of days ago Ryan Gosling said he “needs a break from myself as much as I imagine the audience does”.

There is no such thing as too much of you, Ryan Gosling! Just like the air you are universal, dude!

And I feel obliged to respond because, truly Ryan, if I  have ever made you feel like I was sick of your perfect everything,  I’m sorry and believe me, as hard as it is, because I rarely say sorry, I’m now here asking you, in the name of humanity - stop with the nonsense!

I don’t know what it’s about him, maybe the fact the he is super hot or the fact that I like the feminist Ryan Gosling making an appearance now and again or maybe the Ryan Gosling style or the whole Ryan Gosling and Rachel Mcadams thing.

It could also be the fact that he's breaking up fights in New York City but I really like him and I think he is a pretty good actor as well so it’s a shame he wants to go on this break.

Well, at least we have two more Ryan Gosling movies lined up for this spring. The first is ”The Place beyond the Pines” on March 29 (he co stars with his girlfriend Eva Mendes) and “Only God Forgives” in May. He will also direct his first movie “How to Catch a Monster” before going away.

The reason Ryan Gosling needs this break is for his artistic equilibrium: "I've lost perspective on what I'm doing. I think it's good for me to take a break and reassess why I'm doing it and how I'm doing it. And I think this is probably a good way to learn about that."

I hope this is just a very smart and calculated move on his part to avoid becoming one of Hollywood’s golden boys that are everywhere for a few years and then just disappear.

That’s why you have my blessing to go off and do your thing, boy! I will be here waiting for you!

I’m a tough cookie but if you are one of many that are not sure that they can ever lift themselves out of the spiral of depression this announcement threw you in I’m here to give you some good Ryan Gosling news.
Stop crying, put down the napkins and rest assured that you can survive this too!

As it turns out you can get help! Just find a phone and call the Gosline!
No, I’m not joking! I’m really not! The Gosline is a phone support hotline for all the broken hearts out there.

It’s true that it’s not free, like most support lines, but hey, can you put a price on the chance to hear The Gos himself whispering sweet words over the phone? I thought so!!! So yeah, go ahead, nobody will judge. We are all humans here and we do understand the true tragedies in life!

So, do you reckon you are going to need any therapy?:)))

Goth influences in fashion

$

I was reading an article about an exhibition and I just loved the name they used: Dark glamour. Isn’t that the perfect way to define Gothic fashion?

I know most people associate Goth with darkness, destruction and death but the concept represents so much more. From a historic point of view it all started as a post-Punk movement of the late 1970s.

The separation between the two was not political but rather a natural creation of a subculture for those that didn’t find their place into the Punks lifestyle and created Goth as as an alternative, representing a state of mind, something they were rather then something that they wanted to be.

Goth is not about being cool or different, or something you decide to be - it’s about something you already are, an expression of individuality.

There’s so much to say about this but since we deal with fashion here we’re going to concentrate on that. The dark capes, black make-up, black lace and velvet, leather and spikes are the first to come in mind when thinking about Goth. But Gothic clothing is not just about that as it incorporates elements from periods like the Elizabethan, Victorian (that often embraced the grotesque) and even Medieval times.

Contrary to popular belief, at the beginning, the Gothic style didn’t found inspiration in the dark and morbid but rather in the romanticism of the Victorian period.

The fashion of that era was so beautiful, glamorous and inspiring. I’m sure you all remember those amazing corsets, long skirts, delicate gloves, hats, lace up boots and feminine jewelry. The outfits had such a romantic feel to them and the thought of all those people dressed like that is just mind blowing.
Can you imagine living in a world where that was the norm? Because I can and I do…a lot!

Alternative Gothic Clothingembraces a dark color pallet and uses bold jewelry and other accessories as a statement. The shoes are a big part of the allure for me: boots, huge platforms, stilettos, creepers – they are all very distinctive and a trademark of Goth!

Black can be combined with other colors, like red or purple to create a more dramatic and mysterious look. Velvet, leather, silk, feathers and lace are almost always present in the long dresses or corsets typically worn by people in love with this style.

Its influence in today’s street style and high fashion is undeniable. From the Japanese fashion of the Harajuku district in Tokyo that borrowed elements from the Goth movement and combined them with elements from their own culture resulting in the Lolita Gothic (Lolita dresses) style to the inspiration many designers claim to take from this culture - goth is everywhere. John Galliano once said he sees the “'Goth girl as edgy and cool, vampy and mysterious".

And who can ever forget Bram Stoker’s Dracula that was reflected in the fashion scene through the adaptation of capes for almost everything. The truth is I’m a sucker (no pun intended) for a good cape.

And then we have the countless number of gothic movies and characters that keep on inspiring everybody and feeding this esthetique especially now when horror and fantasy have made a serious comeback.

Some of my personal favorites are: Maila Numi as Vampira, Lily Muster, Morticia Adams, Edgar Allen Poe, Bride of Frankenstein, Enid from Ghost World, The Addams Family, Batman, Alfred Hitchcock’s Rebecca, Daria, Dr. Jekyll and  Mr. Hyde, Dorian Grey and even Jane Eyre’s Catherine and Heathcliff.

Tim Burton’s movies also are one of the first things that comes in mind with this stellar line-up at the top of the list: Beetlejuice, Corpse Bride, Sweeney Todd, Sleepy Hollow and Edward Scissorhands.

Outfit – double denim

Look at me, I’m wearing pants! And I’m fully committed as you can see – it’s an all denim outfit, shirt included! I’m pretty proud of myself for being able to put those jeans on, but I’m not going to lie, it was a struggle – this song explains the process very vividly. It’s not me, I blame them jeans!

I also have a navy coat on that I just got and love except I noticed it makes me look like I have no neck which is kind of hilarious if you think about it. I did however wear it since spring is here and I won’t have the chance for a while – not that I’m complaining.

There’s also the accessories part of the look: a stag necklace, spiked bracelet and my new Focus Online Sunglasses‘cause that’s how I roll. The blue pumps are just a decoy; I’m actually very hood in my heart – however Costin (who took these photos) failed to notice that. :))))

He does live in a posh aria of Bucharest so we can’t expect him to understand the gangsta we have going on! We still love him though!

I’m not much of a trend follower but I have to say the comeback of caps into fashion is something I can get behind. They do have to be something special though, remember the last one I wore here!

The truth is I love the whole urban clothing revival, the mix of sport and elegant, being able to combine items from different styles – it’s creative and makes dressing up fun. I'm all for sweatshirts, hoodies, baseball/varsity jackets and cool kicks as part of the everyday wardrobe.

This my dream outfit for today and I plan to recreate this it as soon as possible using what I have in my own wardrobe.

What do you think?

White outfit with Russian tiara

I don’t have any excuse for this outfit – I just felt like wearing an all white get up and something crazy in my hair and I couldn’t wait for an appropriate occasion to do so.

I don’t plan to get married or engaged too soon so meeting Costin and Anna for a fun evening seemed perfect at the time. Almost the same thing  as getting hitched minus the anxiety!

They are used to my peculiar sense of style and sudden mood swings so nothing short of a glittery unitard with high heels would even seem weird to them at this point.

What's strange is me actually wearing the off white Astro boots as much as I did and in so many different circumstances. At least two have been recorded for posterity: here and here.
And let's not forget about the polka dots bag last seen here!

The beaded tiara made out of lace and veil flowers is actually a necklace – nobody would know, right? I really wanted to wear that ivory coat at least once this year so - mission accomplished! You guys can’t ever tell me I have no goals! I just proved your wrong in advance!:)))

Ulyana Sergeenko – Russian Fame

$

Ulyana Sergeenko's biography - fashion royalty
Ulyana Sergeenko is the crowned Russian queen of fashionable ladies and the most high-profile figure of the so called Russian Fashion Pack, Russian Mafia or the Czarinas  (the core members of which are: Miroslava Duma, the daughter of a Russian senator and editor of a fashion and style site - Buro24/7; Vika Gazinskaya, a fashion designer known most for her numerous geometric hairstyles and Elena Perminova, a model and the wife of Alexander Lebedev, a former spy for the K.G.B. that is now a banking magnate and owner of The Independent and The Evening Standard of London newspapers - more on them later).

We also have some new faces that joined the pack more prominently only in the last couple of months: Natalia Vodianova (a famous Russian supermodel) andAnya Ziourova (fashion director of Tatler magazine). And of course there's Frol Burimskiy, Ulyana’s business partner and the only man in this very select group.

This is the time for Russians to take the fashion world by storm and they are doing a great job at that.
These women have the means and a huge appetite for fashion and style considering Russia has been a “closed” country for a long period.

Combine that with the rapidly expanding class of Russians billionaires and the fact that their arrival coincided with the expansion and rise of blogs dedicated to personal style and you get an overnight sensation that had reached far beyond Russia’s boundaries. And when it comes to lady Ulyana I feel all the buzz is well worthed.

Ulyana Sergeenko is 32 years old and the second wife of Russian insurance oligarch Danil Khachaturov (the owner of Russia’s largest insurance company “Rosgosstrakh”) whom she met in a dentist's waiting room. He is 40 years old and has an estimated fortune of $2 billions; the 42nd richest man in Russia according to Forbes. She is a former model, fashion editor (Glamour Russia), aspiring photographer and now designer.

Originally from Ust-Kamenogorsk, a small, poor town in Kazakhstan, Ulyana was raised in a family of linguists, and still credits literature as a source of inspiration.

Her grandmother was also a huge inspiration for her: “All my life I was absolutely crazy about nice, beautiful things. Maybe it's because of my grandmother. I had a Soviet childhood, and it was difficult to buy some things. My grandmother made dresses for me. She used all her sources to make me beautiful. I was born in Kazakhstan. When I was at school, all the school discussed how I was dressed. I loved to wear, for example, a dress with trousers, something a bit crazy. We had an uniform in my school. You know, teachers were angry with me because I was always disobeying them and wearing what I wanted”.

Her husband is the one that financially supported the start of her business and she says that she is “really happy that we did not just stamp his money. We are a small, but very strong, independent brand. We have a lot of clients”.

I also discovered, to my surprise, that this beautiful doll is the mother of two children: an 11-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl. You know life is not fair when she looks like that after having two children.

The girl seems to follow in her mother footsteps as Ulyana says: “She's fond of fashion, and she's making a lot of sketches, which sometimes I use because some of them are very original. And she's making dresses for her dolls”.

Ulyana Sergeenko made an amazing transition from being the street style photographer’s ultimate muse to the fashion scene by showing her collections in Paris.

She lunched her fashion label in 2011 during Paris Haute Couture Week and despite the fact that unlike many fashion designers, Ulyana did not study fashion design academically (she has a degree in Philology) and that everybody thought that launching her line during Paris Haute Couture Week was somewhat pretentious and arrogant, her show was a success.

Her pieces are not the usual designer pieces and a lot of work goes into producing them, it takes weeks for a single dress and months for a coat to be finished by her team of 40 seamstresses. With that amount of work is no wonder her dresses cost around 17 000€, while the coats climb up to 28 000 € a piece.
Keeping that in mind the fact that her company was able to break even within its first year it’s a huge success story.

Her line has proved more than a onetime hit wonder as Ulyana Sergeenko is constantly revealing new collections that keep on with her estétique while also being relevant and inspiring.
So Ulyana might be an oligarch’s wife but she is certainly not just that!

Her worldwide claim towards the fashion elite started with the internet storm that she created among the fashion bloggers, who adored her from the very beginning.
I guess she has done all this before it was label as distasteful and even desperate.
With her porcelain skin, unapproachable stare, unique beauty, impeccable style and grace and that pin up figure she fast became the IT girl.

Ulyana Sergeenko’s style is unmistakable – she always wears something ultra feminine, think floral prints, full skirts, mohair sweaters and fun, surprising accessories. I love the fact that she is not a slave to trends but has succeeded to make her own style a trend; she mixes pieces like no other creating a now iconic 19th century Russian look with modern accents. She clearly has a thing for unique head pieces as well.

I love the way she combines haute couture pieces with vintage items creating a perfect, detailed, different, effortless and timeless look. Having unlimited funds surely helps but unlike countless other rich women Ulyana has an eye for unique and beautiful and the charisma to transform herself into a legit and lasting fashion icon.

I hope you have enjoyed the Ulyana story - I already have a few other spotlight articles about the rest of this very special Russian club.
Do you like miss Ulyana Sergeenko?

I can’t believe I’m saying this but I’m actually happy summer is almost here. I know I will end up regretting saying this when is going to be so hot I will contemplate jumping in the river that crosses Bucharest every time I pass it by! But until then I’m going to enjoy the warm weather and do as much as I can.

The last couple of days have been pretty hectic as I’m preparing for my Easter vacation and I have a lot of stuff to do before leaving. I’m pretty excited about this short vacation. I’m craving to just laze around in the grass with a good book by my side and some amazing food made by my grandmother. No more job, no more problems – I’m just going to chill and chill some!

The outfit I’m wearing is a bit of a going back to my roots kind of thing. I was in this short skirt/dress period for a while (that my sister hated), but now I feel the love for midi lengths making a comeback. So I went for this outfit for a girl’s afternoon out with my home girls Denisa and Maria. The shirt is my favorite item here – I love the mix of animal print and floral.

   I’m wearing:
navy skirt,  belt, bag / fusta, curea, geanta - vintage
ankle boots, pink leather jacket / ghete, geaca de piele roz - random brand
  silver necklace / colier - H&M
lizard bracelet, green leather bracelet / bratara soparla, bratara verde - random brand
floral animal print shirt / camasa animal print floral -  romwe
sunglasses / ochelari - Asos

This week’s artwork spotlight is all about the Turkish artist Mustafa Soydanand a really special set of illustrationsfor each sign of the Zodiac he made for Trendland.

He’s based in Istanbul and does a lot of different things: illustration, mixed media and drawings - all of them are really beautiful. Much of what he does is fashion related andMustafa has a very personal take on this world.

I also really loved something he said:  “The theme in my works is totally complicated. It changes with my mood; it contains my past, my wishes for the future, pictures of the moment, and daily pleasures. My passion is to put my love for living into my work and make a mark on life.”

 Aquarius / Varsator
  Pisces / Pesti
Taurus / Taur
Gemini / Gemeni
Cancer / Rac
 Leo / Leu
Virgo / Fecioara
 Libra / Balanta
 Scorpio / ScorpionSagittarius / Sagetator
Capricorn / Capricorn
What do you think? Recognize any of the ladies he used for the zodiac signs? What sign are you by the way? I'm a Libra and Sara is a Leo!:)

Cadou neasteptat / Surprise gift

There’s nothing like a mysterious gift delivered to your door steps to totally change an ordinary day! I just got one in a lovely red box with a small note!

The text is in Romanian but it’s basically saying it’s from a fan of the blog and part of a bigger surprise. It also launches a challenge – to use the navy top in one of my outfits!

I’m actually excited to wear it since it’s super cute and so much my style it seems custom made for yours truly! I love surprises, I think all of us do, I don’t have the audacity to think I’m unique in this!

I would love to know something small you saw or happened to you lately that brighten your day, a little thing that made everything better! Please share it with me!

This glorious weekend I'm planning to make the much dreaded wardrobe switch from the cold season clothes to my summer items.

It's not that I don't like organizing my clothes but the lack of space always makes my apartment look like a fabric bomb exploded and it literally takes two days to finish this task.

Besides Sara is obsessed with color coordinating and all kind of stuff like that so it's going to be a very long weekend!

That's why I feel no remorse buying jewelry - they take almost no space at all!And speaking about that -  don't miss Romwe's accessories sale - a great selection at only $4.99 !
The sale is up for o just 48h!

How do you do it?

Spring manifesto

Dear friends, I’ve been a bit lazy with the blog lately with the Easter holiday and all that but I’m back now and ready to rant.

Today’s outfit is something inspired by the wonderful weather we’re having here in Bucharest! I wish this mellow blend of spring and summer could last forever!

I’m really into cropped tops and it’s not even a recent obsession, I‘ve been wearing them for years as you might remember from past get ups (here, here and here). And there’s the floral print – a classic in my wardrobe. This skirt you’ve seen before and will probably see in the future as well since I‘m not into wearing clothes just once!

Lately I started appreciating the charm of small and delicate jewelry as well, there’s something timeless and precious about them, Links of London being a great example of that. I’m still a statement pieces kind of girl but that’s not to say I don’t have an open mind about everything else out there.

The roses flower crown is made by yours truly and part of my summer stash of hear/head adornments – I have lots of halos, headbands, pins and tiaras I made for bright days when I feel like pretending I’m royalty.

 I’m wearing:
flower crown - Alice&Sara (made by me)
 skirt, butterfly ring - vintage
heels and cropped tee - random brand
silver armour ring - Asos
